Good to know
Gauge is how many stitches and rows fit in 10 cm (4 in). It’s the key to getting the size you expect, and to keeping pictures in proportion, because stitches are rarely square.
Measure the middle of a swatch at least 12 cm wide, after washing and blocking it the way you will treat the finished piece.
